This year however, thanks to the devoted and relentless efforts of our planning committee including President of 38th Iranian Congress of Radiology: Dr. Morteza Tahmasebi and scientific secretary Dr. Babak Salevatipour, we aim to deliver quality training sessions to cover various aspects of imaging that address the educational needs of our society as well as providing the atmosphere for effective communication between colleagues for sharing new experiences and latest developments in the science of radiology. This congress offers the opportunity to gain CME points for those colleagues who have made their registration through the CME portal. Finally, I take this opportunity to thank all members of our faculty, lecturers and representatives of sponsor companies whose valuable contribution made the formidable task of organizing and conducting this event possible.

It is my greatest pleasure to welcome you to the 38st Iranian Congress of Radiology (ICR-2023) to be held on May 9-12, 2023 in Tehran, Iran. The 38st annual ICR is scheduled to consist of four main themes including Musculoskeletal Imaging, Obstetric imaging, Gynecologic imaging and Hybrid imaging. Obviously, like previous ICRs, this congress will take a look at other medical imaging issues, as well. These include both new advances and CME programs in Gastrointestinal Imaging, Neuroradiology, Genitourinary Radiology, Pediatric Radiology, Head & Neck Radiology, Interventional Radiology, Imaging Informatics and Legal Issues in Radiology. As the main message of this congress suggests, Hybrid imaging including PET/CT that has witnessed remarkable advancements over the past years, planned to be discussed more in details in this congress. The most demanding part of this congress is predicted to be the practical multi-disciplinary expert panels in main themes and workshops. The congress program includes educational presentations by invited expert lecturers, CME packages, refresher courses, scientific research-based oral and poster presentations, workshops and medical imaging technical exhibition. Moreover, the general assembly of Iranian Society of Radiology (ISR) is scheduled to take place at congress venue. I appreciate the sincere effort and collaboration of my colleagues in the scientific/planning committee of this congress. I’m sure all participants will take full advantages of many opportunities to share experience and communicate with their colleagues, to enhance the educational aspects and to optimize clinical skills during the congress and I wish you a wonderful experience.

As the President of IRSA, I am pleased to welcome you to the 20th Congress of the Iranian Society of Radiographic Sciences. This conference provides an opportunity to present updated results related to theoretical and applied research in the field of medical imaging. Through this conference, we want to have a constructive discussion with all of you about the latest techniques and achievements of medical imaging and its effective role in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases. The scientific committee of the congress has carefully reviewed the scientific articles and the latest research submitted to the committee and shared them at this event. We should all be very proud of where we are today and excited about where we are going. As the president and scientific secretary of the congress , It is my honor to welcome you to the 20th Congress of Radiographic Sciences. In this event, it has been tried to provide a unique opportunity for improving and exchanging expertise and knowledge for the colleagues and gaining updates as well. In addition,the congress will also be concerned with the importance of being more familiar with new modalities, techniques and applications so the latest radiographic guidelines will be introduced. Therefore, the congress has brought together a team of the best medical imaging physicists and application specialists, along with the country's prominent radiographers, for discussing and judging. Main themes of the congress are Abdominal,pelvic and Breast Imaging, MSK and Artificial Intelligence in Radiology with a special focus on creating and performing innovative medical imaging methods to achieve the best diagnosis.
